Common description
This beach resort and spa enjoys a peaceful and idyllic location in Platania, just across the road from the pristine local beach. The resort offers 147 rooms of every type from standard double to suite and maisonette for the comfort and convenience of guests, each with private en suite bathroom, private balcony, internet access, refrigerator, cable television and air-conditioning. Guests can pamper themselves in the extensive spa and fitness centre, lounge in the sun on the beach or by the shimmering outdoor pool, and enjoy satisfying meals at five fabulous on-site restaurants and bars. The nearby Platanias city centre offers shopping, dining, and colourful nightlife, though the resort caters to guests' every need with 24-hour reception, conference and banquet facilities, wireless internet, hairdressers and minimarket, among other facilities and services. This is the perfect place to spend a sunny, carefree holiday on the island of Crete.
Territory
Eco-Room or Economy-room: These rooms are for you who prefer the cheapest solution, at the same time they are for you who are flexible in relation to the fact that these rooms may differ from the pictures shown on the website. In some cases, they may differ in terms of location, decor, size and facilities compared to what is described in the hotel text. Including whether there is a balcony. A balcony is generally only guaranteed if it is stated in the name of the room itself, eg "Double Room with Balcony".
Off-season: Travel For example, outside the normal summer season, which typically runs from April to October, there may be facilities that are not open. It is up to each individual hotel whether these are open or not.
Fees: Unless we have specifically written "free" in the hotel text about e.g. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, safe box, etc., there will normally be fees paid directly to the hotel.
Check-in / check-out: Upon arrival, you can expect check-in at 14. Check-out is usually at 12, some hotels have an earlier check-out (ask at reception).
In some hotels, it is possible to rent your room for longer against direct payment.
Ecotax: In several destinations, the authorities charge an "ECOTAX". The income from this is used to neutralize the increased CO2 emissions caused by the tourism industry. The tax is paid by all overnight tourists and is calculated based on the hotel's category. The amount is typically somewhere between 1-5 euros per person over the age of 16 per night. Unfortunately, this is not something that we as a travel agency can include in the price of the trip, as it is only the accommodation that must collect and settle on to the authorities. Settlement mostly takes place at check-out, but can also be at check-in.
