The Windermere Hotel is a romantic hotel set high above the town, and was known as The Riggs when it first opened in 1847. It's there that you can enjoy classic comfort, with a walk downhill taking you to souvenir shops and antique stores, and to other attractions including the World of Beatrix Potter and the Graythwaite Hall Gardens.
