Right out on the southern edge of the cliff at Funchal, is the Hotel Golden Residence. Here you get a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean and a relaxing atmosphere with a nice interior and modern design. You live here within walking distance of the rocky beach, which can be reached via stairs, and the promenade next to the hotel overlooks one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe - Cape Girão.
Golden Residence has a nice pool area, with sunbeds and umbrellas, and for those of you who want to sit in the shade, there are plenty of café tables around, on the green areas.
Golden Residence has a really nice SPA department with e.g. Jacuzzi, exercise room, sauna and Turkish bath. Here you will also find facial treatments, massages and other beautifying treatments.
This complex is a good choice for those of you who want to live near the city, but at the same time want peace and quiet outside the center. We therefore recommend the hotel here, mostly for adults
