It is considered a sailors paradise. A short drive away is the small city of Mugla which is worth exploring with its shady streets, ottoman-era bazaars and pleasant tea rooms. Some of the landmarks to see are the Great Mosque, the City Museum and the 13th century Vakiflar Hamani (Turkish baths). Among the activities on offer are fishing, sailing and horse riding.
