An outstanding example of 16th century Portuguese architecture, this manor house was once the hiding place of King D. António Prior de Crato in 1580 to escape from persecution by Spanish soldiers. It has been property of the “Agorreta” family for more than 400 years.| This breathtaking manor house has many superb family heirlooms and rare pieces of antique furniture and the apartments offer complete privacy and tranquillity. The Quinta is also a leading Vinho Verde producer, which can be sampled in the wine cellar and wine aficionados can also benefit here from the picturesque beauty of endless vineyards.
